At Zipgrid, we treat every society/commercial complex as an individual ‘Project’ and the role of the ‘Critical Projects Lead’ is to troubleshoot issues in Projects that require immediate attention and manage client expectations. The role requires an important mix of both technical prowess and client relationship management. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client expectations and proactively resolving client escalations. This role requires a blend of strong project management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to build trust and relationships with clients. The role will report to the Senior Vice-President FinOps with a dotted line reporting to the CEO of Zipgrid. QualificationsChartered Accountant / CFA / Cost Accountant / MBA or MMS (Finance) with 5 to 7 years of post-qualification experience preferably in a Managed Services or consulting environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding of New Clients:
    • Plan and lead the onboarding of new clients and be a single point of contact between the delivery team and the client.
    • Effectively collaborate and delegate tasks across the delivery team involved in the onboarding process.
    • Facilitate knowledge transfer between the outgoing service team and the moving forward delivery, ensuring a seamless transition for continued client support.
    • Proactively set realistic expectations for the onboarding process, addressing potential challenges and timelines upfront while fostering a positive and trusting relationship with the client.
    • Gather feedback from the client to gauge their satisfaction with the onboarding process and identify areas for improvement.
  • Managing and Troubleshooting Critical Client Projects:
    • Manage critical client accounts, ensuring successful project delivery on time and within budget in critical situations.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client decision-makers.
    • Proactively manage client expectations and communicate project progress clearly and concisely to senior management at Zipgrid.
    • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation wherever required.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues before they escalate.
    • Manage and resolve client escalations effectively and efficiently.
    • Track project performance against key metrics and report on progress to clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements and skills:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a client-facing role, preferably within a managed services or consulting environment.
  • Solution-oriented and modern managerial skills with the ability to think creatively.
  • Excellent control on finance and accounting aspects and good presentation skills.
  • Ability to summarize large complex worksheets/data and in-depth understanding of financial reporting under India GAAP with proficiency in managing accounting tools like Tally.
  • Working knowledge of Indian tax (both income-tax and GST) and regulatory compliances.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients at all levels and experience in managing client expectations and resolving escalations.
  • A person with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and also as part of a team, be self-directed but also collaborate effectively with others.
