At Zipgrid, we treat every society as an individual ‘Project’. The ‘Deputy Project Lead’ governs the overall project with a focus on specialized functions such as Management, Finance, and Compliance. Responsibilities:

• Manage operations of assigned projects with a direct team size of 15-20 members.
• Lead a team of Finance Leaders, Accountants, Tax Professionals, and Compliance Officers.
• Allocate resources and manage milestone deliveries and client collections.
• Ensure accounting activities and internal audits comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Recommend cost-optimization solutions.

Requirements and Skills:

• In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
• Hands-on experience with financial planning, project risk management, data analysis, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in accounting software/ERPs.
• Modern leadership qualities with a lead-by-example approach.
• Prior experience managing client finance operations and society compliance is a plus.

Detailed Job Profile:

I. Billing & AR Management:

• Plan and publish regular Billing Dashboard.
• Resolve client queries with project teams.
• Provide timely confirmation on issuance of bills to clients.
• Inform accountants of tariff changes after client approval.

II. Booking & Accounts:

• Review accounts and pass journal entries as needed.
• Manage client relationships independently.
• Publish regular Accounting Dashboards.

III. Withholding Tax Matters:

• Track Monthly TDS and publish dashboard.
• Ensure timely filing of relevant returns.
• Validate TDS return reconciliation with Tally data.
• Coordinate responses to notices from the tax department.

IV. Goods and Service Tax:

• Provide inputs for timely filing of GST returns.
• Validate reconciliation of GST returns with Neo/Tally data.
• Communicate notices from GST department to senior management.

V. Income Tax:

• Prepare and verify income computations.
• Plan and track Advance Tax Payments.
• Ensure timely filing of Income-tax Returns.
• Communicate notices from the Income-tax department to senior management.

VI. Financial MIS:

• Close financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow).
• Publish dashboards listing open items for portfolio accountants.
• Share MIS needs with clients within established timelines.

VII. Other:

• Connect virtually with clients on urgent matters.
